She attracted 10,000 people to her social media skincare brand by building an online community.
I am Sanam Asif and I started Miryana Organics in my kitchen in 2018. We are an organic skincare brand that believes in blending its products by hand, using the choicest ingredients and a homely approach.
Made with 100% natural ingredients, our products range from plant-based, food-grade cold-pressed oils to lip balms, and waxes. Synthetic ingredients, parabens, SLS, fillers, and mineral oils have no place in the handmade process.
She took robust steps to make the production process safe and reliable.
Over a period of 4 years, we have developed an intrinsic way of quality control. We make the products in small batches, and before sending them out, we test the product on our own skin. This is because we not only want to uphold standards of beauty, but also safety.
Despite the challenges of the pandemic, she was able to cement her brand promise.
The pandemic that affected the entire world greatly threatened our business. At such a time, we had to buckle up and reposition our brand. Thankfully, Miryana being a work-from-home business became an advantage. We could continue operations while spending more time on the brand, and on how we can be appealing to people.
As a step in the right direction, we doubled down on committing to the environment. Since 2020, we are on a mission to adopt recyclable and reusable packaging, avoiding the use of plastics as much as possible.
Her efforts have helped her create an intimate online community.
At this stage of our business, we have been able to create an intimate, loyal customer base of more than 300 people. Our social media has been expanding exponentially and we’ve been able to reach more than 10,000 people!
It brings me immense pleasure to be able to offer more than 10 products from my home. As a woman, being able to keep the entrepreneurial hustle going and making a name for my brand has been a very rewarding experience.
